I’m Theo – a friendly, professional and experienced counsellor in Sheffield.

I can help you to deal with what’s making your life difficult. It could be anxiety, depression, a relationship or something from your past. We will find a way for things to change.
I will help you to understand why these difficulties are coming up and together we’ll find a way for you to be the person you want to be.
In our sessions you will have a safe, confidential place to let your feelings out to someone who is kind, honest and caring.
50-minute counselling sessions in a comfortable, quiet room at 673 Abbeydale Road, S7 2BE. We can also work together online.
Sessions cost £50 and are available Mon-Fri 9am-9pm. We can have a free 20 minute phone call to discuss what you would like to work on and see if I’m the right counsellor for you.
Call me on 07375 205153 or email therapywiththeomoore@gmail.com to arrange an introductory call or session.
Here’s just a few of the areas I specialise in…
Worry and stress can make life unbearable. Sometimes it’s thoughts that won’t go away, tightness in your body, or sleepless nights. Together we will calm your anxious thoughts and feelings.
Depression can be a heavy blanket which smothers you: you feel low, your motivation is empty and it’s hard to maintain relationships. We will work safely to lift that blanket and let some light in.
Relationships are essential to all of our lives. When they break down it can be painful. I will help you to understand what you want and to maintain healthy relationships which work for you.
Trauma has effects which ripple through your life, psychologically and physically. I will help you to understand how it affects you and how you can be free.
Maybe it’s an old habit or it’s the only way to deal with life right now. If you want to change then we’ll reduce your addictive behaviour and understand what keeps it going so that you can be free.
Everybody’s brain is different. This is something to be celebrated but it can present challenges in a world designed for neurotypical people. I will help you to navigate those challenges and be yourself.
The most important thing I will do is to listen to you, understand things from your perspective, and give you a place where you feel safe.
I am a trained Integrative counsellor which means I use the evidence-based approach best suited to your needs.
I often use Internal Family Systems therapy. This lets us understand the parts of you which keep you going day-to-day, which keep you safe and which carry your pain. Once we understand these parts, you won’t need unhelpful behaviours to keep you safe anymore and your unwelcome feelings will change.
My training includes a Diploma in Counselling Practice and Masters degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
